The Cove Rotana, Serenity in the Middle East
I was transported from the luxurious crystal city of Dubai to serene landscapes with well-manicured gardens, private villas, and sensational views of the Arabian Gulf known as The Cove Rotana. Located in Ras Al Khaimah is Rotana’s first property in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. The resort sits on an idyllic water inlet on the Ras Al Khaimah beachfront overlooking the Arabian Gulf with pristine beach front access. Gwinever Sempreingiro, an Italian delight advised that her job was to make my dreams come true. Asking her to put her money where her mouth was, I told her that I needed a haircut for my presentation and before I knew it, she had reservations for me at a local saloon in Ras Al Khaimah. Excellent customer service skills in no time and going above and beyond by Gwinever, is a small luxury you will experience at The Cove Rotana upon your visit. The Cove Rotana is comprised of over 250 rooms including, one, two and three bedroom villas designed generally to accommodate families and large groups of friends. Amongst The Cove’s amenities are two infinity swimming pools, fitness clubs with instructors, Jacuzzi’s, sauna’s, steamrooms, water sports, and spas services, not to mention mouth watering restaurants. I walked into my luxurious two bedroom villa that contained an oversized living room was nicely designed. The dramatic master bedroom with king-sized beds were beautifully decorated and provided comfortable sitting area and a work desk. I stepped out onto the terrace to an amazing view of the Arabian Gulf. To enhance the amenities and luxury lifestyle, there is a private swimming pool and garden steps outside of the master bedroom. I highly recommend indulging in spa treatments at the Cove Rotana. Their signature massages and treatments are world class and are offered by superb masseurs. My session indeed was a unique and holistic Asian massage that included Chinese pressure point with European massage techniques which soothes and eases muscular tension and improves circulation. This was probably one of the best massages ever and to top it off, it was done on the beach. Dinner reservations at The Basilico fulfilled my evening hunger, an upscale Mediterranean restaurant that offers both traditional and modern dishes with a strong emphasis on Italian Cuisine. The restaurant manager presented us with a signature heart shaped pizza to personally welcome, “The Jetsetter.” Time wounded down as night fall fastly approached us, we prepared for another day of activities. Beginning with breakfast at Cinnamon, we enjoyed an international buffet with Oriental highlights. Breakfast at Cinniman was absolutely spectacular. The Cove Rotana offers water sports which was one the highlight of my stay. We enjoyed an hour and a half of jet skiing on the Arabian Gulf coastline at 30 MPH. Though it was exhausting putting the Jetski to the water, it was all worth it. Breakers on the Beach, a great lunch spot provides lunch on the beach for guests of the Cove Rotana. We sipped on cocktails and enjoyed a delicious open grilled chicken barbeque while taking in the modest sun and unwining on the beach. The Cove Rotana resort far exceeded our expectations. From the helpful and friendly staff, to the savory restaurants, the watersports, spas services, breathtaking views; The Cove Rotana is a must do for relaxation and a little adventure. To properly enjoy and appreciate all that this beautiful resort has to offer, it would be better to stay at least five day in order to fully take in the jewel this is. The Cove Rotana…..Heaven on Earth in the United Arab Emirates. The Cove Rotana has earned The Jetsetter Lifestyle Stamp of Approval.
